Warrenton Chorale
Handbell Choir

The Warrenton Chorale Handbell Choir accompanies the Warrenton Chorale and plays solo pieces for the Warrenton Chorale concert series.  We play on over five octaves of handbells and five octaves of hand chimes.  Under the direction of Bob Schoenike, we play a wide variety of medium to difficult music, frequently playing music written for some of the best handbell choirs in the world including the Raleigh Ringers and Sonos.  Nearly all of the bells we ring are made of bronze, the exception being the aluminum C2 that is nineteen inches in diameter and weighs nine pounds and nine ounces.

The ringers in the handbell choir currently come from five different church sponsored handbell choirs in the Warrenton area.  It takes a lot of work and dedication to play handbells, but all that work and dedication pay off when we play a musical performance with quality.  But in addition to the work, we find time to have a lot of fun.
